Too many Sunday have passed. No-one will want to know what music was played between 12th September and 23rd October!
Today, 23rd October:- Before the service you heard Entree pontificale, op.104 no.1, by the Italian composer, Bossi. (Maybe this is the first time a Session Clerk has ever entered church with a pontifical Entrance!)
During the Offering, we returned to our roots, with Coronach, by Edgar Barratt. After the service, I played "Hornburg", from the Lord of the Rings.
To answer a question passed on to me indirectly - yes, the organist is sure she could play Ghostbusters. But she thinks she'll pass on that one. Other suggestions and requests are very welcome, however ...

Well, well, well Karen. I had no idea our organist was such a blogger. What a talented woman! Care for a request? I love a hymn called Non Nobis Domine - it would be great for the choir, but probably a bit much for the congregation. It was my old school hymn, and I haven't heard it since 1982. Keep up the good work. I'll catch up with you on Sunday evening.
7 Nov. 2005 Hi Karen, while you were in Manchester Killermont had two marvellous services yesterday - very different in style. The first was a full house with all the youth groups and many parents attending. The service was taken by some young folk, Helen, Ali and Alan. The new sound systen is FANTASTIC, and you'll be most impressed when you hear the sound next week. The evening service was much quieter - a further meditative study on Matthew 9, which we had looked at earlier in the day. I love the fact that our minister brings in periods of silence to the evening services - more please! This perhaps implies that I do not want to hear him speak - certainly not the case. We had two of the choir members - Lynne and Shona - joining the Praise band, that was special: when you see them at choir practice this week, mention how much their contribution was appreciated. Now that I have stumbled across you, I will watch your Killermont Praise site now with interest.
